Product overview We have received the LL-23J, the top model in the regular L series. While the LL-23J is known to have some Taiwanese-made models, this particular instrument is made in Japan. The top, which is the core of the sound, is made of carefully selected solid spruce, and the sides and back are made of high-grade solid rosewood, resulting in a supreme all-solid wood construction. In addition to the overwhelming volume and dynamic range provided by Yamaha's unique LL (Original Jumbo) shape, it also acquires the deep, resonant characteristics unique to solid wood. The wood material, dried over many years, suppresses harsh high frequencies while outputting crystal-clear treble and deep, tight bass. Combined with the extremely natural response of the ebony fingerboard, it is a first-class instrument that perfectly embodies the player's intentions, from the delicate nuances of fingerpicking to aggressive strumming.
