Product overview We've received a Fernandes JBR, a domestic model that was in the lineup for about 3-4 years in the mid-80s! With its no-pickguard, metal knobs, and slanted JJ pickups, it's a model that was clearly influenced by the component-style guitars popular at the time. The catalog mainly listed the "RJB-45," but this particular instrument is a higher-end version with gold hardware and a sound variation switch! Upon investigation, we found that the 1985 catalog's color chart section listed a model called the "RJB-50," and it's likely that this is that model. It's highly recommended for playing along to the basslines of funk, FUSION, and city pop, which were hugely popular at the time!
