This model features the distinctive oil-finished BRAUN color that appeared frequently in their music videos at the time. The lightweight body, a combination of padauk and mahogany unique to the early models, is equipped with an ADX5 active pickup! Furthermore, the Vari-Mid III 3-band EQ, which allows you to set and completely cut the mid-range frequencies, perfectly reproduces that punchy, percussive slap sound when the strings hit the frets!
